The Gibbons' house
(and Berks')

in Miller, Kansas

For all of our friends and family, who are so full of questions about our new home, we have created this page. Now you will be able to watch as we renovate. Yes it will be a huge amount of work but we are very excited.
Then . . . .

The kitchen
This room will see the
greatest change!

The old kitchen was split in
two sections by a wall
of cabinets and a doorway.
So you looked through a
window over the sink into
the other section of the room.

The bathroom
The original bathroom was
small and had a window
that looked into the garage.

The hall will be added to the bathroom and a laundry area
set up.

The livingroom
Needed a facelift. Original
room had carpet which was pulled out to reveal hardwood
floors.

Still needs paint, repair
of walls and trim.

requirement

Was the "dining room"

The bedrooms
The original house had two.
We had planned to add an addition to the north side with
3 more rooms but when the
roof over the large bedroom
was determined to need to
be replaced and the seller is
not able to shoulder the repairs
he had agreed too, we will
now just add one bedroom
to the south corner.

Outside
There was NO way to even
begin to imagine how much
trash and junk that we would
find under the snow & grass!!!
(the garage should have
been a clue)

Since we had known the
people who lived in the house,
we just simply had no idea
that the mess would be so
huge and so deep and so tall.

The garage
We now have a two car garage.
Right now it is used for storage
of all our extra stuff and the construction materials plus a temporary home to our rabbits. Someday it will be a garage!
