The "way back" covers the entire rear section
of our property. The old "barn" is there as well as the new hen
house. We still have a burning pit back there.
We had a ditch/pond dug to help drain off the water in the spring which has
become the duck pen. Most of birds now have full run of the way back
as it is now fenced with 2"x4" 4 foot high fence, for their protection.
In the way back you will find a duck pen that includes a shelter
and a pond,
along with tall cool grass and loads of trees to sit under on hot days.
. The new yard attached to the hen house.
It now follows the fence line that divides the way back form the front
yard.
The peacock and bantam chickens live in the 24 foot by 16 foot chain
link, covered enclosure.
