Our First Christmas in Kansas
since none of you can visit we are sharing the house by pictures. We hope you enjoy them.
Once again we love it here but do miss all our friends and family.
inside is warm and transformed into Christmas . . . . . . . .

some of our favorite ornaments
and more pictures of the tree

The living room.

Gail has once again decorated the entire house with greens and flowers.
This year we added feathers and vines, as they would have in the time
when the house was built.

Our new ornaments for 2008, a set of hand blown glass -
Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion.

Once again Gail protects her treasured ornaments by hanging then
from high places. The ones over the couch are from her childhood.

We even made room for our village, we was added last year
(much to Abby's delight). This year we added a chicken
house (naturally) and a Pony Ride that really moves.
Abby loves it all and rearranges it almost daily.

Christmas spreads throughout the house.
The sideboard in the kitchen holds the angels that Chuck's mom
made for us over the years, and candles of all shapes and sizes.

The trophy case in the room of requirement also wears a crown
of greens and bubble lights (Chuck's favorite type of light)

outdoors . . . . . . . .
WE HAD SNOW!!!
It is almost gone now but the house and yard looked magical
.

Coming up the road.

the front door.
what we see most the time (still pretty but not the same) . . . . . . .

Sarrah has her slide show up
for everyone to enjoy. .

Abby's doe moved with us
(still looking for the perfect buck)
This year she is greeting a little bunny.

Can't be Christmas for Abby without Frosty.

Abby decorated her side of the front yard
all by herself!
putting up the lights . . . . . . . .
We just had to put these in for our northern friends (yes rubbing it in a little!!)

Sara and Chuck worked on the lights the day
before Thanksgiving in sheetsleeves.

back to the house

Abby helped by putting up the lights on the fence.
She also spent a lot of time playing.
