Our Cats


Ronald Albrus Harry James or RON to his friends

Ron is the one of the loves of Sara Berks life.
We got him from a shelter in the fall of 2007 as a little tike.

We thought he was going to have long hair but he is closer to a
Turkish Van with a very long tail and shorter body fur.

He has huge feet, beautiful eyes and is very friendly

 


Rosepetal


Rosepetal is Abby's cat. She lost her two Bengals in our house fire
and we promised her a new cat when we moved back into the house.
She wanted a orange cat because Crookshanks in the Harry Potter
books is an orange tabby and we all know he is a most intelligent animal.

We were all very surprised that she did not name him after that cat
but choose the name Rosepetal.

Rosepetal is a boy but he doesn't seem to care about his name.

He is now all grown up. He was an indoor cats for years
but discovered the great outdoors along with Ron when we
moved to Kansas and they got out through the torn up floor boards.

He is fixed so is not adding to the local cat population.

Minnie (Minunette)


Minnie started out as a rather stunted baby we salvaged
from one of the people around here who have
oodles and oodles of cats!!

A little orphan that showed up in the back shed.
No one knows how or why?
Sara, Sarrah and Abby took her under their wings. They bottle fed her and potty her for weeks,
till she was rolly poly, litter trained and eating on her own!. We are proud to say she went to her new
responsible family at the end of town where she has grown into a lovely FIXED house cat.
