The Lops at Cimmaron are the interest of
Sarrah Gibbons
who has breed rabbits since she was
four years old, following in the footsteps of her older siblings.
She bred and showed Polish for many years with great success, producing many, many Grand Champions. She has earned a number
of Best 4 Class wins and Best in Shows with her homebred Polish.
Always attracted to the lop look in rabbits she enjoyed showing
a few of the Gibbons family's Mini Lops early on but her true love
after her Polish were Holland Lops.

After a brief cooperative effort to bred quality
Holland Lops and Velveteen Lops with some close friends, it was decided that we needed to go back to the basics and work on our herd first in the way that was successful for us it the past.

Prior to the a devastating house fire that took the lives of all her rabbits
in early 2004 Sarrah had a breeding herd of class winning Hollands.
Sarrah's wins with her Holland Lops included a number BOBs, BOS,
4 Class and a Best In Show.

Her successful record with Hollands on show tables and has
produced a number of Grand Champions many in the rarer and
more unusual colors, including REW, Chinchilla, Blue Tortoise,
Siamese Sable and Chocolate.

In addition to our Holland Lops both Sarrah and Abby are
very interested in the new breed - the Velveteen Lop. These interesting rabbits have some of the sweetest temperaments
in the rabbit world. After breeding Velveteen Lops for over
4 years Sarrah has now decided she needs to narrow her
program is looking at working with emphasis on the
Chocolate family.

The future of the breed - our bunnies and our kids.

Sarrah has been joined in her love of
lop eared rabbits by her daughter Abby.

Abby has been helping her Grandma
with the rabbits since Grandma carried
her in a backpack when she was a baby while Grandma did chores. It only
seemed natural that when
Abby started showing rabbits she
would choose on of by her Grandma's Lionheads. Abby is now old enough to
be a huge help with chores. She is
officially in charge of nestboxes
and loves to train bunnies that seem
to need extra handling.

She has made her mom very happy
and decided she wants to add a few
Velveteen Lops to her own "show string" .
