Our
breeding dilute breeding program is now looking much harder at Tortoise in Blue
as a off-shoot of our very sucessful Black Tortoise bloodlines. A number of breedings of dilutes to our top quality Torts in black where started in the summer of 2007 to preparethe way for this project. This effort resaulted in a Best of Opposite Sex to Breed win at the 2008 Lionhead National Show with a very nice Blue Tort junior buck. We have continued this breeding of outstanding Black Torts wih our dilutes. We incorported Good's GI Joe into the program in late 2008. This compact, small boy carried a pleasent combination of Cimmaron (his mom is Cimmaron Mia Hamm a Blue Tort) and foundation Wetzel on his sire's side. We are very pleased with the kids we are getting out of these recent breedings. We are still breediing some Blues and are keeping an outstanding Smoke Pearl buck, so will be adding Smokes to our dilute familyin 2009. In California Cimmaron Hartley (Blue buck) has had an outstanding show career with Dana Cole. He has a number of BOSwins in big entries of Lionheads. |
